Confessions of a Broken Man

I have always had a passion for writing. I read my first novel when I was fifteen, (considered quite late to many people) and started developing a love for the English Language. I began enjoying writing compositions in school, a joy that a rare few have. The ability to describe things and emote through the written word came easily and naturally to me. As the blogging medium came into prominence over the internet, I've discovered a great avenue to practice my talent. This is why I started blogging.
This blog is a form of therapy for me. Writing makes me feel better. Everytime I feel down I'd write. And more often than not I feel uplifted. Writing crystallizes my thoughts, allowing me to think clearer. Writing defines who I am. It is my passion to write. I's what I'm gonna do for a living. And I hope as many people read my stuff as possible. After all, the greatest tragedy for a writer is that he has no audience.
Writing is a form of communication. As Stephen King said in his book "On Writing", writing is like telepathy. You are conveying your thoughts to another person as you write. Consciously or unconsciously, your ideas, character, personality, likes and dislikes are being transmitted to another person, effectively baring your soul to all. Often, people will get to know you better through ten minutes of reading your prose than an hour of verbal interaction.
As the title implies, this blog is a confession. I'm a person frought with many weaknesses, doubts and insecurities. I'm really normal and ordinary. In this blog you'll see my attempts to overcome my weaknesses, often ending up in failure. However, I hope to portray, through this blog, my sense of optimism for the future, that life's always gonna be better. I hope people will see that I never give up. I keep telling myself: though I may be weak now, in the future I will be strong. I've always pictured my life as scaling a great big mountain, the sun rising, illuminating the glorious peak. I hope this will be how you picture yours too.
Expect me to be extremely frank about the issues I'm going through. Of course I won't reveal every detail of my life, but it comes pretty close to that. And I do hope that after you have read my blog, you'll feel encouraged. That's one of the reasons why I write. To encourage. It fills my heart with joy when somebody is impacted by my work. So if you want me to keep writing, do encourage me more :-)
Hope you enjoy reading my blog!
